Building Owners

Building Owners

DHD is the leading provider of Solar, Battery Storage, Electric Vehicle Charging, and Carbon Offset strategies (Renewable Energy Credits) for Commercial and Industrial building owners and real estate portfolio owners.

We Can Help You Achieve Your ESG Goals

Economic Impacts
Building and portfolio owners should invest in core business functions not their electrical infrastructure. DHD works with stakeholders at all levels, providing electricity savings through low-cost power purchase agreements or new income sources through roof leases.
Environmental Impacts
By assigning underutilized areas clean technologies, real estate owners can support the global push to a low carbon future and support stakeholder ESG metrics.
Social Impacts
Clean technology, like onsite solar or storage, can reduce emissions resulting in improved air quality. Additionally, many solar programs incentivize community solar projects that provide low-cost power to the most vulnerable

Onsite Solar

Do you have unused rooftop space available, or a large parking lot? With Onsite Solar, you can not only increase your Net Operating Income while decreasing your Carbon Footprint, but also significantly reduce ever increasing Electric Bills.

Carport

Carport solar projects are an overhead shade structure with solar panels mounted on top. They are designed to offer shelter to vehicles parked below them, as well as efficiently generate clean electricity. They are ideal for large parking areas and are an effective strategy to generate clean electricity from already developed areas while protecting vehicles from the elements.

Ground Mount

Ground Mount solar projects are the installation of a solar energy project directly on the ground, for instance in a field or on a landfill. They are the most common installation strategy for commercial solar projects and can be effectively installed across a wide spectrum of sizes i.e., 100kW to 100 MW.

Rooftop

Rooftop solar projects are the installation of solar modules on the roof of a building. Rooftop projects are common at the residential and commercial scales and can offer building owners a way to save money through reduced power costs as well as increase income through a third-party roof lease.

Rooftop Canopy

Rooftop Canopy solar projects are canopies installed 2 to 7 ft above the roof level. This allows the solar project to be installed over rooftop equipment as well as provide flexibility to repair/replace any rooftop equipment or the roof itself without disturbing the solar project.

Distributed Energy Works Everywhere

DHD can work with you to structure distributed energy projects for your properties. We are seasoned commercial and industrial distributed energy development professionals and have worked with hundreds of building and real estate portfolio owners across numerous sectors to tailor distributed energy projects that fit unique situations and needs. Property types that DHD has experience working on include:

Commercial Buildings

  • Office buildings
  • Industrial and warehouse properties
  • Shopping centers
  • Multifamily hi-rises and garden-style developments
  • Self-storage facilities
  • Hotels

Municipal and Public Properties

  • Government owned properties
  • Public schools
  • Private schools
  • Universities
  • Hospitals

Other Properties

  • Houses of worship
  • Agricultural properties
  • Landfills
  • Large parking lots (for carports)
  • Private waterways (for floating solar)

We place our attention on our customers with these two outcomes in mind:

Minimize the impact on their daily operation

Maximize their overall financial benefit

“I have had a great working relationship with Davis Hill Development. They take the time to understand the local issues and have taken time to address those concerns.”

Electric Vehicle Charging

DHD, alongside our sister company, Skycharger, are leaders in the Electric Vehicle (“EV”) charging infrastructure space, specializing in the development, ownership and long term operations of EV charging infrastructure. Our parent company, Skyview Ventures, owns and operates a large Level 3 DC Fast Charging station portfolio in the State of California, over 500 Level II Charging Stations nationally, and a cutting edge portfolio of Fleet Electrification + Vehicle-to-Grid (“V2G”) Bi-Directional Charging Station projects with strategic partners in the Northeast.

Here is a full suite of DHD & SKYCHARGER offerings:

Level 2 Charging Infrastructure
Level 2 charging stations are medium voltage charging stations, averaging between 5-20 kW. Most public charging stations are level 2.
DC Fast Charging (“DCFC”) Infrastructure
DC Fast Charging stations are high voltage charging stations and average 20 kW and above. DC Fast Charging stations are typically found along interstate highways and in cities.
Vehicle-to-Everything (“V2X”) Bi-directional Charging Infrastructure
V2X bi-directional charging stations allow energy to flow both directions. V2X stations allow car batteries to be used for backup power for a building or to generate revenue through utility program participation.
Fleet Electrification Strategy and Financing Solutions
Fleet electrification is the transitioning of a gas or diesel fleet of vehicles to electric. This initial transition can be complicated and requires substantial planning, development, construction and financing.
Solar Canopies Coupled with EV Charging Infrastructure

Utilizing solar carport structures above EV charging stations can carry many economic and environmental synergies.

Low Carbon Fuel Standard (“LCFS”) Solutions
LCFS credits are tradable environmental attributes that are created by charging EV’s with EV charging stations. California, Oregon and Washington have LCFS markets currently, and more are expected to come online soon. These credits create additional revenue for the EV owner.

Battery Storage

DHD is proud to be working at the forefront of the rapidly growing Battery Storage industry. Battery Storage has the potential to rapidly accelerate the deployment of renewable energy, and DHD has put itself at the front of this transition. DHD has established partnerships with leading battery storage technology, software and finance companies, allowing us to offer a variety of solutions to different customers.

Battery Storage technology can offer building owners economic, environmental and resiliency value propositions. Some of these solution offerings are listed below:

Economic
  • Demand Charge Management – Battery Storage can allow the building to shift load and realize savings on electric bill demand charges.
  • Utility Demand Response – Some utilities and states allow battery storage systems to participate in utility demand response and other ancillary service programs, and be paid to do so.
  • Federal & State Incentives – States and the federal government are adding additional incentive programs to drive the adoption of battery storage technologies.
  • Solar + Storage – Adding battery storage to solar can add additional economic value through state level incentives and more efficient use of solar energy.
Resiliency
Battery storage can add resiliency to your building, acting as backup power to critical loads, with potentially unlimited power supply from the solar facility.
Environmental

Battery storage systems can help decrease carbon emissions through the more efficient use of energy on site.
