Geospatial Data Engineer
Bio:
Laura Banaszewski is Davis Hill Development’s Geospatial Data Engineer. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a BS in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics in May of 2021. Shortly after graduating, she joined the Davis Hill Development team. Her roles include obtaining and analyzing geospatial data, developing Python-based tools, generating mailers, and managing the company’s CRM database.
VP Business Dev & Origination

Tory Hanna, Vice President of Business Development and Origination
Tory Hanna is an AICP-Certified Urban Planner with the American Planning Association, and land use expert with 15 years of development experience focussing on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Zoning, and Business Development in the Municipal and Private Planning industries as well as Renewable Energy sector. His work includes Brownfields redevelopment, and other community and municipal planning projects, coastal resiliency, waterfront zoning and redevelopment, and urban manufacturing through his time at the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation in Brooklyn, NY. Tory co-founded Origin Solar, a Solar Origination startup company focussed on site origination for large-scale ground mounted and rooftop solar assets across the Northeast.
Origin Solar was brought under Davis Hill Development in 2018, where Tory is currently the Vice President of Business Development and Origination. His graduate work focussed on the intersection of Solar Energy and Urban Planning, and the barriers and conflicts which arise for Planners and Municipal practitioners in that realm. He holds an MA in Sustainable Development from SIT Graduate Institute in Brattleboro VT, and a BA in Environmental Design and Urban Planning from the University of Massachusetts, at Amherst.
VP Asset Management
Bio:
Micah Brill is Davis Hill Development’s Vice President of Asset Management and Development. In this role, Mr. Brill works with his team and partners to operate DHD’s portfolio of distributed energy assets as well as identify new opportunities for energy project development. At DHD, Mr. Brill also supports project finance and has closed on a variety of project deal structures. Mr. Brill has over a decade of experience working with commercial facility owners and municipalities on onsite solar PV, microgrids, energy storage, virtual PPAs, and energy efficiency.
Since joining Davis Hill Development, Mr. Brill has helped double its portfolio of operating solar PV assets and target new markets, channel partners and technologies for deployment.
Prior to Davis Hill Development, Mr. Brill worked at the Urban Land Institute on strategies for institutional real estate owners to reduce their energy use and emissions. Mr. Brill has been working in energy and carbon management as well as real estate sustainability since 2008. Mr. Brill has a Master of Science in civil and environmental engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in business from Washington University in St. Louis.
VP Strategic Development
Bio:
Jared is the Vice President of Strategic Development at Skyview Ventures. He has over a decade of experience in the renewable energy industry. Prior to Skyview Ventures, Jared founded Mad River Solar, a Vermont based solar development company.
Jared is a double Catamount, holding an MBA in Sustainable Innovation and a BS in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont. In the Mad River Valley, he is an Officer with the Warren Volunteer Fire Department, the President and founding member of the Warren Volunteer Firefighters Association and a Board Member of the Vermont chapter of the American Red Cross.
Financial Business Analyst
Bio:
Tyler is our Financial Business Analyst. He graduated with his Bachelors in Accounting from SUNY Oswego and his Masters in Accountancy from Southern New Hampshire University. He began his career in Public Accounting as an Auditor for about 3 years. Since then he has transitioned his roles into the energy industry primarily working as an analyst at an Asset Management Company prior to joining Skyview Ventures in late 2021.
Chief Executive Officer
Bio:
Matt Coleman joined Davis Hill Development in February 2016 and brings over twenty years of expertise in renewable energy via project development and finance, corporate investment, and technology development. Matt was most recently EVP of Business Development at Clean Focus, where he led the company’s commercial and utility solar power project development and acquisition. Prior to Clean Focus, Matt co-founded and managed one of the first renewable energy sector hedge funds in the United States. He also helped launch two different concentrating solar firms, Soliant Energy and Hyperlight Energy, and developed and financed a variety of distributed generation technologies for RealEnergy. Matt earned an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA and a BA in Environmental Science from Johns Hopkins University.
Project Manager
Bio:
Frank Murray joined Davis Hill Development as a Project Manager in January of 2022. He has over a decade of experience in demand response, energy efficiency, sustainability, and energy management. Holding a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Energy Management from the University of Phoenix. In this role, Mr. Murray oversees the construction and operations of solar, energy storage, and other distributed energy projects across multiple US markets. Managing the company-owned assets, community partners, trade allies, procurement, data management, and the long-term operating performance of the projects.
Asset Management Analyst
Bio:
Sam Williams is our Asset Management Analyst. He manages our operating portfolio of renewable energy projects to ensure optimal fleet performance as well as supports business development opportunities. Prior to joining Davis Hill Development, he worked as an energy engineer, providing demand side energy management services to C&I customers in the mid Atlantic region. He is set to complete his certificate in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy at Yale University in 2022.
Solar Project Development Associate
Bio:
Maria Morales is a Solar Development Associate at Davis Hill Development. She supports the Development team with creative problem solving and design skills. Morales graduated Cum-Laude with a B.S. in Business Analytics and Information Systems and a minor in Environmental Policy from the University of South Florida in 2020. Moreover, she holds a Photovoltaic Associate Certification from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners. She previously worked with the United Nations Development Programme as a Digital Transformation intern for the Nature, Climate, and Energy team in the New York hub. In her role, Morales cleaned datasets and created visualizations assisting the Directorate with research and analysis.
A native of Venezuela, she and her family migrated to the United States to start a new life. She learned English and challenged herself through advanced courses earning a spot at the University of South Florida. Proving that dreams come true with discipline, courage, and determination; Morales was awarded several academic scholarships and recognitions.
Morales’ interest in clean energy began after witnessing the effects of oil spills in her hometown, Maracaibo, Venezuela. In college, she explored her passion for environmental action by volunteering and interning with non-profits such as Citizens Climate Lobby, OurClimate, Rethink Energy Florida. Ultimately, Maria’s objective is to advance the transition to renewable energy and plans of formalizing her passion by becoming a Clean Energy and Sustainability professional.
